Biblical certainty 

“It’s not biblical!” the priest would thunder
“It’s sinful! Abominable! Wrong!”
but Agnes would sit there in her pew
imagining him
with nothing on

“It’s not biblical!” Mother Superior would declare
“It’s ungodly! Wicked! A sin!”
but Agnes would read the Song of Songs
in bed
and make her body sing
