The monster wants

The monster
wants

The monster wants a ciggie
The monster wants a spliff
The monster wants a bump
The monster wants a hit

The monster
wants

The monster wants doughnuts
The monster wants toast
The monster wants to stuff itself
with whatever it wants the most

The monster wants more booze
The monster wants more news
The monster wants more views

The monster wants
more and more

The monster wants some ketamine
The monster wants some cocaine
The monster wants whatever it takes
to take away the pain

The monster wants more clothes
The monster wants more shoes
The monster loves to buy things
The monster hates to lose

The monster
hates
the monster

The monster wants to hide
The monster wants to cry
The monster wants to howl

The monster doesn’t want
to die

The monster wants
what we all want
deep deep down inside

So, don’t shun the greedy monster
Don’t shame the shame-drenched beast
Instead invite the monster
to your finest royal feast

And simply

love the hungry monster

and embrace the source of its monstrous call

for that’s what
the hungry little monster wants

the very most
of all
